The Yerevan Branch of Plekhanov Russian University of Economics is an educational, methodological, research and production, and cultural center that provides high-quality education to all learners, regardless of their place of residence, enabling their full and effective participation in social and professional life in the information society. The Branch implements joint innovative projects and develops cooperation in the field of education between the Russian Federation and the Republic of Armenia.
Our internationally oriented educational services are based on knowledge management systems, information and communication technologies, Armenian and Russian state educational standards, as well as international standards.
Mission
To develop and disseminate knowledge in the fields of economics, management, and informatics; to prepare highly qualified professionals; and to foster individuals capable of becoming leaders in the global community.
Education at the Yerevan Branch of Plekhanov Russian University of Economics is based on the use of advanced educational systems and information and computer technologies, combined with traditional teaching methods.
The development strategy of the Yerevan Branch of Plekhanov Russian University of Economics is based on the principle of ensuring that every student and academic staff member has full access to educational, teaching and methodological, and research materials, as well as modern facilities and technical resources.
At present, the Branch offers the following educational programs:
Secondary Vocational Education — based on Grade 9

- Information Systems and Programming.
Higher Education — Bachelor’s Degree Programs
- Economics;
- Management;
- Applied Informatics.
Higher Education — Master’s Degree Program
- Applied Informatics (specialization: Business Analytics and Artificial Intelligence).
Research Centers
The Branch operates the following research centers:
- Russian-Armenian Center for Russian Language and Culture — established jointly with the Russian Center of Science and Culture (RCSC) in Yerevan;
- Russian-Armenian Business Consulting Center;
- CISCO Academy — established with the support of the Embassy of the Russian Federation in the Republic of Armenia;
- Virtual Reality Laboratory.
Library
The Branch has a modern library. Its collection includes Armenian and international literature covering all disciplines offered at the Branch. The library also has a reading room, and its collection is systematically expanded with new and up-to-date publications.
The Branch also makes extensive use of electronic library resources, which are regularly updated and include the latest publications, monographs, and contemporary academic research, including publications of Plekhanov Russian University of Economics.
The electronic library is accessible both locally and remotely via a web interface, providing students with comprehensive access to the library resources of Plekhanov Russian University of Economics.
Facilities and Student Services
To support the educational process and research activities, the Branch is equipped with a modern local network, computer laboratories, specialized laboratories, and multifunctional multimedia classrooms.
The Branch has a medical office providing outpatient care to students and staff requiring urgent medical assistance. The medical office is equipped with the necessary medicines and medical equipment.
Annual activities are carried out to promote immunoprophylaxis, health and hygiene education, and a healthy lifestyle.
The Branch also operates a cafeteria with a flexible pricing system for students and staff.
The sports complex includes a sports hall and a fitness room equipped with gymnastics equipment, a treadmill, an exercise bike, and other facilities.
Today, the Yerevan Branch of Plekhanov Russian University of Economics serves as an educational center that brings together Armenians from different countries around the world.
