Research and Academic Activities
The Yerevan Branch of Plekhanov Russian University of Economics is a modern research and educational centre that promotes effective integration between academia and business. The Branch’s departments conduct research in areas relevant to the University, in line with the needs of the labour market and the strategy of socio-economic development.
Research activities are organised in accordance with the following approved documents:
- strategic objectives set by the parent university;
- annual research and student research work plans.
Research activities include:
- organising and conducting research and methodological seminars, research-to-practice seminars and round-table discussions;
- research activities undertaken by academic staff and students;
- student participation in academic competitions, contests, exhibitions and research conferences;
- preparation and publication of monographs and teaching and methodological materials;
- implementation of research projects initiated by academic staff, both collective and individual;
- preparation and publication of the academic journal Problems of Socio-Economic Development: Challenges, Prospects and Development, which is included in the list of publications recognised by the Higher Qualification Committee of the Republic of Armenia and the Russian Science Citation Index (RSCI).
